This year marks the 20th anniversary of the House Rabbit Society - 20 years of rabbit education and rescue! Thanks to the work of dedicated volunteers, HRS has rescued over 20,000 rabbits, each with a unique story. To celebrate this great achievement, the MD/DC/NoVA chapter of HRS is holding an anniversary party this fall - "HRS: 20 Years...and Counting!" The celebration will be a time for bunny fans to gather, share stories and reflect on 20 years of advocacy for rabbits. There will presentations by Dr. Keith Gold, Dr. David Handel and perhaps another area veterinarian, delicious vegetarian food, fun stuff for sale and chances to win fabulous raffle prizes!
We are still planning the event and would love to have others help. If you are interested in joining the planning group, please send us an email at volunteer@rabbitsinthehouse.org.
A message will be going out soon to mobilize all of the volunteers who've expressed interest.
