Has your rabbit gotten their booster yet? Historically, rabbits in the states didn't need vaccines. But a new deadly virus has changed that - RHDV2. It can cause sudden death in wild and domestic rabbit populations. It can be spread through indirect contact, such as from shoes, contaminated water, or unsanitized cages. Luckily, a vaccine has been approved for use in the states. Vaccinating your rabbit not only helps protect them but also prevents the spread of RHDV2 to other rabbits in your community. Whether your rabbit is an indoor-only companion or enjoys some time outdoors, the RHDV2 vaccine is an important step in safeguarding their health.

Consult your rabbit-savvy vet for more information on the RHDV2 vaccine, including how often your rabbit should get vaccinated!
